I just installed a new set of stainless steel dual disk brakes, but the truck isn't ready to run yet. My question is will these breaks drag a little before settling in (are they supposed to?)? I can roll it on the floor and tell that there is resistance. If it's not supposed to do that does anyone know any tricks on setting it up right? Those rotors are very difficult to slide on that hub end and I don't wanna accidentally bend one. Thanks.

You should be able to roll the truck without any resistance. If they are dragging, you need to either adjust your linkage or back out the screws holding the brake pads on a bit. Once you get them set up right, they are killer brakes compared to the stock single disc brakes IMO.

I don't have the linkage hooked to anything yet. But as for the screws, they are tightened snug. Loosen them up and they'll be ok? Just something about a screw that's not tightened down all the way... ya know? Does anyone run their setup with the screws tightened all the way or is loose the way to go? I hate loose screws. Obsessive compulsive. Obsessive compulsive.:duh:

I'd say tighten them snug then back them out 1/8 of a turn or so. Turn the brake discs and they should be able to turn without dragging.

there should be little spacers that came with the kit, put them inbetween the trans case and the inside brake pad. that will change the spacing and the torque that the screws can go in because it shortens the threads, allowing more space in between the pad and the push rod that applies the brakes. this will allow the brakes to spin freely and keep them from dragging and allowing your truck to move properly.
