New custom made header/mid tank fuel tank 2in1 tank

I thought I should share this with you guys. This is my custom fabricated mid tank. I had a spare airplane fuel tank lying around and a tank from a broken buggy so I decided to join them together and make a Truck fuel tank. I cut the buggies fuel tank by heating a hobby knife. Since it is made from hard plastic it’s hard to cut without a dremel. Then I cut the planes tanks roof open with a big enough square to let fuel pass. Then hot glued the whole thing and presto I have a large fuel tank. It holds 2 times what the stock tank was able to hold and this tank will keep the engine going even if the truck is upside-down. Took me only 45 min to do the whole thing I still haven’t run it though but will update you when I do.

1. how many cc it hold?
2. did you put a stone-filter on the pick up line?
3. does your savage run well on it?

1)it holds 13oz(384cc) it will take forever to run dry
2) no I have not
3) I still havnt run it yet. I will run it on 31st when I take my truck to school b4 that I have too much work so can't bash for a while I will keep you updated.

thats a big tank sudi hope it stays together for you not sure how the hot glue will hold up to fuel bein spilled on it and ruff landings but all in all good idea.

I used hot on my cracked stock tank it holds up quite nice I might melt on the car tank to the plain tank to make shure that it won't get messed up

ah ok but imo id use some fuel safe sealent just incase its not all sealed up or wat not.

Well today i ran my new tank at the sand piles near my house. It worked wonders no problem when running and no leaks. it got a few rolls with out the body then i got worried and put on the body so that i wont damage it. Strongly suggested!

I tryed it out at the last min when my stock tank broke again =( i ran it for 1 tank it feelt like 45 min. I will time it next time
