neu 1717 heli engine hole problem

i just recieved my new motor to fit my 5B conversion but since it's a heli version it has holes on both sides... i could buy it cheap so thats why its a heli version

the front is allready fixed with a plexi coverplate on top of the other one but the rear...

would it be safe to carefully close those holes up with silicone? or just glue a plexi coverplate with only the holes for the wires on that rear backplate?

I say plexi is safer. Silicone shouldn't damage it but why take the risk eh ?
