Need some help.

I am looking for a throttle linkage setup for my savage. I am referencing this thread as I’d like to build it similiar to this.

So what are my plans you maybe thinking to yourself, well for starters you will notice that the wheel-base is pretty wide. Well thanks to my $10 set of Intergy 1/8 wheel extenders I should be a lot more stable in turns at higher speeds now. The next addition is the Extended chassis that Blazer X is sending. The main reason that I wanted a longer chassis is very simple. When I blow up a roto-start backplate, if I even go back to using them. I will have enough room to put a socket with a one-way in it and start it with my drill. Then the next step will be the mid-tank modification. Which I...

I’m looking for a substitute for the fastest system sleeves that bolt onto the servo arm. Any help appreciated.



Id also love to hear any and all suggestions on building a linkage setup if yours is different. Thanks.

Thank you all for the great advice!!! That’s why I type so much on builds I’m new too. I’m hoping if I going about something wrong or, anyone has any advice or criticism, they will give me advice. I want to build a trouble free nitro. So, thank you all so much!!!!


Vinni, I can’t buy the fast track system in the states. At least I can’t find it online. I’d love to have found it. But, I just ordered some spikes and appropriate ball joint end to make a great throttle linkage!!! I found some slides and bought some stops. I’ll never be without a proper linkage again in anything I own. Thanks to everyone of you.

I did order the ofna throttle kit referenced above. But, I needed two of them. I couldn’t find two. But, I don’t have to now. lol.

I’ve actually found and bought the supplies to make any linkage I might ever need to make after the bike spoke tip. Collars, springs, push rod ends, etc….

Traxxas 5168 throttle linkage kit. Had everything I needed except the sleeves. I got some 3/32 sleeves from dubro’s Cost about $9 delivered for the Traxxas and the sleeves cost $6. Because I bought 12 of them. Shipping was $ 7.50. I’ve got about $24 in it


It’s got plenty of throw. But the Traxxas linkage is sturdy but flexes just a bit. I like that. It allowed me to take the slack out with return spring tension. So, the throttle return isn’t binding anything. No excess pressure on the slide at full throttle either. It works flawlessly and crisp.


This receiver is going bad. Glitching. I’m going to have to order a three channel combo. But, for now I’m going to rob one outta another truck and get this thing broke in tomorrow.
