Okay so I have a pretty good idea of what I need to complete this mod and I was going to order everything from the SMF store so I could get it all in one shipment, but I tried to send an E-mail through their website to see if they could give me a list of everything I need and I have yet to hear back from anyone. I just don't want to miss anything and have to re-order. My XL is stock and I am going to make my own plate for the throttle servo unless you guys have a better solution. I don't want to invest in TVP's right away but I was going to use the FLM servo plate and FLM servo mounts for both servos so if I do change TVP's I wont need anything else. Could someone make me a list of all the parts I need with SMF part #'s? I'd really appreciate it. I did not see fuel tank mounts for the FLM plate/OFNA 250cc tank or a steering link on the site. I was thinking I could make a steering link out of some spare suspension parts. The plastic ends that go to the turnbuckles and just a piece of threaded rod or the end of a bolt. Will this work OK and hold up? What size threads do they take? Any help is appreciated, thanks!

I looked at PRC but I think SMF had more of the smaller items I'll need like the linkage set and stuff and the FLM servo plate was half the price of the carbon ones as well. If I go with carbon I'm gonna wait and go all out with TVPS, skid plate, rollbar and servo plate. For now I don't want to make the investment in all that carbon stuff so I'm just going to go with the cheapest mid tank I can with the 250cc but still use quality stuff.

Yeah you need to drill holes for the rear mount of the servo plate, and make a plate to mount the throttle servo to the TVP in the lcation of the original fuel tank.

1. you cannot mount the ofna 250cc tank on the FLM servo plate. the servo plate is shorter than the tank.
2. smfstore.com is owned by "wrenchman" here on hpisf. you'd be able to reach him easily through a pm on our site here.
3. I'm pretty sure that the plastic turnbuckles take a 4/40 threaded rod, but OFNA makes a linkage kit that will work for sure (i used it).

Also, where is a good place to get wiring extensions? I'm gonna need some of those too.

ask wrenchy about this. great planes makes servo-extension wires in 6", 12" & 18" lengths & theyre short $$ 😛eace:

frddyj is correct the FLM plate is to short for the 250cc tank. I also stock the tanks, servo mounts, linkages, RPM RC10GT battery box's, Battery box's and mounts and antenna mounts along with a few other things, just an FYI.

Both Jason and nick are great guys and both are always willing to help. Good luck with your mod. The price of new tvp's is only a little more than the cost of the extra stuff you will need to make this work on stock tvp's. Once you add in the time the FLm or Jason's cf tvp's are well worth it
