well guys this is what i got so far .. still a long ways to go need a body... clutch set up and wheels tires and motors.. yes going to try running duel 32.s electronics and fuel tank.and.diff locks ..everythings polished and nickle plated ..alot of man hours went into it so far... alot more needed to finish it up ..ill add pics as i add things to the build ..
heres the base parts..
fast lane tvps
flm bulk heads
flm extended arm set
flm shock towers
flm center skid
flm servo tray.. will be making a solid one for it soon my servos ride inside the tvps so no need for the tray with cut outs.
hot racing lst piggy back shocks.. these things are massive don't recomend them for bashing they are heavy but for this perfect added weight.
lst shock next to a hot boddies stock size savy shock can see the resivour is the size of the stock shocks if not bigger.
rear carriers and front knuckle set up all polished
titanium stub axles
skid plates and bumpers deanodized and polished.. with a skull on each i polished and nickle plated.
partial arm n bulk head asembly
tie rods to hold the arms stiff shocks just for weight n looks
front sitting nice n flat
front and rear rears raised slightly to transfer the weight forward
the engine till the others come in .. lrp .28 polished chrome and chrome transmision case
partial asembly
thats it so far .. still need to figure out the hitch aswell..
just got my custom tank back from the welding shop... finished nickle plating it and dry fitting it ... still need to drill the mounts every 1/2 inch ... and should be good to go on that part,,, it weighs 1lb.. and adjust from 1 inch from bumper to 4 inches out..
before nickle plated and polished out.
AFTER NICKLE PLATED AND BUFFED OUT.
dry fitted still have to drill and mount it ..
thats it so far ... think its coming along pretty good ... think the tank sets it off n should work great for weight ..
got my weights done today.. between the 3 of them they weigh 4 lbs... so 1 1/3 lb each ... still need to nickle plate them n polish them ... they are 6 inches long x 2 wide and 1/4 in thick...
flat 2 inch by 1/4 in bar stock..
the weights cut out...
the weights on the front .. still need buffed out more ..
the new lid on it..
just built some stainless steel tie rods to stiffen up the susspension ... going to cut them in half and drill n tap the centers out and put a threaded turn buckle on each one to give me full adjustment on them for different ride heighths to transfer the weight where i want it ...
the 1/5 scale conversion begins .
the puller next to the new cage thats going on the 1/5
a stock tvp next to new 1/5 ones. nearly twice as long.
1/5 cage sitting on it before the tear down
converted over to 1/5 next to a xl and a stock length x.
need to finish up the aliminum servo tray n new center skid.
hooked to the pulling sled ..nearly 8 ft long
