My savage is only a month old so it has minor mods and is still clean!! The wheels and tires were given to me by a friend and were yellow so i dyed them Black so thats why they have a funny tint to them other than wheels and tires i modified the linkage by cutting the ring on the servo arm (similar to the ofna linkage), added some LED's to the front bumper!! The airboat was actually built by my uncle who was a machinist in the Army and he built this in the early 90's and it was stored away in his attic until I found it one day and gave it a total rebuild with a boogey board as the hull instead of the aluminum hull that he originally made that was HEAVY!! I had to rebuild the carb. and then gutted the exhaust for better performance!! The boat runs nicely but could use a digital radio and servos as thats the only weak point on the thing!! But its not too bad i can it across my yard and into my pond and back out the other side!!

Nice looking rides... love the swamp buggy. Did you build that? I saw one in a magazine you could buy.

I would suggest getting you a cheap HPI tuned pipe. It's the cheapest performance upgrade you can buy. The F4.6 will open up and run like a scalded dog.

My uncle built the airboat while he was in the army (Machinist) and recently we rebuilt it on this boogey board, i don't have any vids and i actually haven't ran it lately, but i will try to make one next time i take it out! The stability issue...well when he first built it it was on an aluminum hull that was quite narrow and if you did a sudden turn it would flip, so we saw others on the net that were built on boogey boards and we stole the idea and now i can basically do donuts with it, but on take off it dips one rear corner under from torque so i have to be careful with that it is a blast to drive it slides sideways and what not i'll be sure to post a video next time i run it!! As for my savage I am saving some money for a buku, new radio, and hump pack!!

You definitely need to post some videos of that airboat running. It looks like a blast to drive.
What did you use as the exhaust deflector?

my exhaust deflector is just some clear tubing like you would find at a hardware store i can't remember the size but i cut about 2 inches maybe and slid it over the exhaust outlet it is very snug so i didnt zip-tie it!

I'm diggin' the swamp boat....never saw 1 before......i am also interested in seeing a vid of it runnin' bro...:stickpoke:
