Tell me what you guys think, any suggestions, comments?

i will say this site and another one i'm on really helped me out with the build. The midtank was suprisingly easy after seeing pictures from members who have done it before

Nice job .. I like the blue alloy .. Where is your break rod ?

Also moved the thread to midtank builds .. I love the flm black tvp

i bent it while bending it to install it, you have no idea how peaved i was when it happenned, i am going to roll the dice and do my breakin without it lol.

Very nice, clean setup. You running the new 3 speed? It will give you a bit more top end. If not all you need is the 3rd gear for your current 3 speed that's it.

We want a vid

no i don't have the 3 speed yet just original 2 speed it's in the works though. This thing has been taken apart for about a year now so i'm just gonna have some fun with it now and upgrade stuff a little later. I've waited long enough. Thanks everyone for the nice comments!

WOW, but that is very nice, I love the black look on the FLM's. That has to be one of the cleanest Savage's I've ever seen. You have done a stellar job.

Now is there any way you could give us a parts list and a break down of anything that you modified and such in case someone else wants to use some of you nice handy work, unless you don't want to give that information out of course.

crash- if you go in through the right diamond shape underneath the body pots in the shock tower, it fits like a charm it just puts some excess torsional motion on it.

I had to borrow my parents camera or else i would have done a step by step how to so sorry. I have to tell you though I pretty much followed judge on this site and how he did it. I cut my box a little different and mounted my steering servo in the upright position as opposed to how he layed his down but all in all it's almost exactly the same. What can I say he does great work. Prop's to the judge!!

The whole build went smoothly I have FLM's tvp's steering brace, engine mounts, skid plate, motor mount..... pretty much everything but their bulkless and arms and i love it all, everything bolts up really nice. I was lucky enough to get one of their early black annodized sets that came. Just goes to show you how long this thing has been in pieces lol. I've decided to wait for my brake linkage to come before I start my breakin. I have about 2 grand in this thing so far so i don't wanna kill it with a mistake. I'm also gonna get a new 5 cell humpback as I don't think it's fully charging anymore. After that though I'm gonna test all these parts and see if it was money well spent. thanks again for all the help and nice comments

Also I am running mugen seiki diff oil 10kfront/7krear so i'll let you know how that setup works. and it's geared 49/17

crash, that sucks cause i was gonna prob put a wheelie bar on hmm guess i won't might have to look into a custom wing mount really don't have the tools to drill thru my shock towers. thanks for the heads up!

if you use the small wheel on the hpi wheelie bar, its not a problem. but with the flm's you may be better off to order the hpi extended starter shaft for the savage xl.

I'm in the market for a new 5 cell hump back, anyone have one for sale?

check out onlybatterypacks.com for hump packs!! they have great prices and products, bought my hump pack there and its a 1500 mah NiMH with charger and the charging lead so you can charge the battery in the truck and it was $35 bucks and it works great!!!

thanks for the tip dreadnaught and ill take a look nitroaddict. my last one sat for over a year and won't hold a full charge anymore. i actually have a spare one too but it won't even charge argghh. oh well here comes the debit card again lol
