This is a work in progress so......
Started with a piece of plastic for a platform.
Next I carefully dissected the stock battery/servo box as follows,
and saved certain parts of it for later use. (With a hacksaw.)
I cleaned up the pieces on my grinding wheel for a smooth finish.
You can start to see where I am going with this.
Next I started fitting in the platform and steering servo.
Keep in mind this is mocking it up for fitting, this set up is subject to change.
Next I turned my attention to the throttle servo.
Using the box cut and saved from the stock part at the beginning,
I plan to mount the servo nice clean and safe next to the engine.
Build time so far including this post was about 1 hour and a half.
Have to be up early for fieldwork, so its time to pack it in for the night.
I will post more as I go, still have to buy a Ofna tank.
I have to admit I am having a blast with this contraption.
All comments and questions welcomed.
