well after after many hours and cans of redbull the end is in sight for my brushless project ,i just need my flux tranny to arrive and get some lipos and then i will strip it down and locktight everything back together,i used the kershaw kit but when it turned up i was pretty gutted with the quality of it the motor mount was badly finished so ive sanded it a bit to clean it up and the battery trays were way to flimsy so i reinforced them with some carbon fibre and replaced the front straps with carbon as well, i also made the radio box cover, the esc mount, and tvp sideplates, and the on/off switch mount as well, ive got some threaded shock bodys coming so i can sort out the ride height and a new losi ford f650 truck body.i cant wait to get this up and running hope you like the pics

very cool truck! I'm interested in building 1 for my bro so can you get me some links of stuff you used! good luck with the rest of the build!

Excellent! I too have the same project going on. It just got stalled for a SC10 build right now.

Thanks for the links. Looks like Kershaw is the way to go for the conversion. I see your Neumotor, did you go with the Mamba as well?

What did you need IRC for?

i used irc for the shock mounting kit, the tvps are theres as well but i got them of ebay ,it is the the mamba 2200kv motor i run a mamba setup in my minizilla and never had any problems with it so thought i would stick with them

probably goinig to use a 20/49 to start with hard to say what will work best as I'm still waiting on my lipos to turn up

yeah I'm in the same boat waitin on my lipos too, i was plannin on use the 15/47 i have a feelin thought that its going to mess up my spur gear cause its stock. just want to get her runnin then think about new spur gear.

what tranny are you running as that will make a big difference, I'm running the flux tranny so I'm going to start with the stock gearing and see how it goes

sweet savage, very clean looking build. where you get the flux tranny from? got a link?

theres no way your 3 speed will hold up with the set up your planning to run i would definetly think about getting a two speed or a flux tranny, plus if you get a flux tranny you can ditch the stock brake and servo

why not aren't the 3 speed parts all metal to? or is it somthing else? how easy would it be to make my 3 speed a flux tranny is there a kit or something, then i could save the 3 speed parts if i every for some odd reason want to go back to nitro, i don't think i will though.

the third gear is the problem they tend to break up rather than strip everyone ive chatted to whilst building my truck has had them go,i know you can convert the x 2speed but I'm not sure on the 3 speed hope this helps

yes i did get it working but then found out i had no brakes so iv ordered parts to make my 3 speed to a flux tranny. well i went with 15/47 for right now seems to work ok i will get some video once i get the flux parts.

I'm still waiting for my lipos to turn up so have not run it yet ,but they should get here in time for the weekend and then i can play with the gearing to see what works best

Those Mamba's will take 6-12 cell ni-cads... I am waiting on a li-po too for my SC10, but it wasn't going to stop me from running it. 🙂

You must be going nuts man.
