thanks pure for all your help and finding this pipe!

this pipe is amazing, all i can say is WOWWWWW
they wernt kidding when they said its loud, this thing will hurt your ears in enclosed spaces like my garage! but it sounds soooooo cool. and man does it polish up nice, its this shiney after just 2 mins of polishing.
overall the cost was about $66 through towerhobbies, including the pipe, new couplers, 2 different types of defectors, and the 90*
fitting.
i mounted it a different way then what others were doing, instead of the plane kit thing ive seen people used i just cut the stock pipe holders square head off and drilled a hole through the tip, then took a small zip tie and threaded it through a piece of full tube and wrapped it around the pipe and through the hole in the mount. works great and its very steardy.

nice work on the choo choo train mod... thats what i call it not to be a jerk, cause the savage looks like a train with smoke coming out the front of it... nice work...:resp:

haha thanks but is sounds like a dirtbike haha i love it, i hurt my ears when i started it up in my garage.

I'm trying on the vid. My ex stole my camera and moved to Washington state, I'm going to by a cheap video camera tonight, only problem is we are get a small snow storm tonight (3-7) inches but my truck is waterproofed so we will see.

I'm just curious to hear more about these pipes as they definately have caught my attention as well!!!

yup cut it to pures and jcams picture. Mines about a 1/4 longer cuz I left a 1/4 more on the deflector side, the pic says to leave 3/4 ATLEAST on the deflector side so I left an inch, worked out good. I then took the deflector and turned it around to get the right angle to weezile it's way between the shocks and shock tower, it then angles perfect in the front so it shoots the oil to the ground not on the truck.
I also like the mount I fab up, it holds the pipe off the truck so it's not rubbing it and the fuel tube holds tight and won't slide.
I'm hoping to get vid tomorrow I just went and pick myself up a camera.
With this pipe I had the truck running rich as h*** and it still wouldn't keep the wheels on the ground, it seemed ALOT faster aswel.

Oh it also looks longer cuz it's not on an XL it's on a stock x chassis. I'm hopping for a vid soon, forgot ithe motor had a massive air leak but I'll fix it.

well just picked myself up a camera, hope to get a vid up tomorrow.
stay tuned

try it out you'll see what all the hype is about. might look funny but ill take function of looks anyday

The setup looks good, nice and tight. Just make sure that the deflector does not get restricted in any way. We usualy run them a little shorter so they doen't add too much back pressure, just keep a eye on the temps for the first while, you will have to probably run a richer setting from where it was before the pipe and tune it in from there. Great job:resp:

yea i moved the shocks to the top hole and theres no restriction, i even moved the a arms up and down and they don't hit the deflector, but so far so good.

LOL!!! AWSOME!! Great to see some one else modding up a pipe too!

They are loud...but I like loud! Looks good and that is a great way to mount it up!

yea it is loud but sounds oooo so good. And thanks on the mount

videos coming tonight! Let the suspense build.

from tower with all new couplers and deflectors and shipping it came out to be 66 bucks

theres one more coming guys, its in the middle of uploading. it was my first one so i was tapeing it and controling the truck at the same time. don't think i did to bad haha.
the snow does suck though you cant see the actual speed of the truck since its always sliping and sliding everywhere. i will get more video when the snow melts.

last one... more to come when the snow starts to melt, you don't get the feel in these vids cuz theres no wheelies or anything.

i added the wrong vid i guess? they were the same? owell fixed now

yup work well. ill post pics of the waterproofing when i pull them from the truck. its very simple just smear a thin layer of a waterproof sealant around the top and bottom of the servo, works well, been using them like this for quite some time now.
picked it up at walmart

u guys like the 2 types of wheels? there my winter set haha.
