My first savage..

Well i just picked this Savage X up off of craigslist, the guy really didnt know anything about it other than saying "its had a lot of money put into it" lol, anyways i bought it and got it today and just got done looking it over and so far ive figured out its got:

-Some type of aftermarket wheels
-Jumbo swamp dawg tires
-Ofna force 32 engine
-Some type of aftermarket aluminum pipe
-Some type of green ano shocks (??)
-Boulder Holder body (color changing paint)
-VERY sturdy heavy duty roll bar

I'm not quite sure exactly what i will be doing to it just yet, but I'm sure it will get modded fairly soon.

haha, that doesnt sound good. Do you see anything wrong or that doesnt look to good?

I also just discovered a traxxas 2075 waterproof steering servo.

seems like a great buy bud. theres no such thing as a bad savage. i used to have huge tires on mine too for awhile and it was a lot of fun!

having a quick look at your pictures ,
it's not a savage X but rather a 21 or 25 savage with X tv'S
I would pull the diffs and first make sure you have the 4 gear spider diffs
but as above there is no bad savage

Looks like it needs a new set of wheels, the one pic shows the edge broken off a bit but not bad overall.

Nope, doesnt need new wheels. Nothing is broke on any of the wheels.

Welcome to HPISF All4. Since nobody else has mentioned it, those aren't ano'd shocks. Those are the stock shocks with Integy springs. I can't remember if those are stiffer or softer than stock springs. But, I wanna say stiffer cuz that's what I used to run. Also won't really know the true condition of it until you run it. Keep us posted.

Yes, one tire has a rip that someone sealed back up with ca glue (-_-), it should last a little while because i actually like these wheels/tires.

i have a set of tires I got really cheap a few years back , one was tore , I sealed it up with some shoe glue I think , I only use them for bashing and they have held up fine . . but for just for me I moved the tore side to the inside of the rim.
