My buggy has been through a ton of stuff since I built it. Thought I would get started with some shots of it just after I finished the build. I'll update this thread with pics. & links of it's evolution.

very nice baja!! i've only seen one as nice which was hop's... thanks for sharing!!!!!

Thanks !

With this exact set-up we got a semi-local track to accept us as a class. It is a QSAC 1/4 scale paved oval. We spent this summer running those races every other weekend. With a dirt oval in you back yard, it was a ton of maintenance, getting ready every 2 weeks. Here is a screenshot from the week I actually won. I'm also adding a video link of the 1/4 scale action the club provides on this track.

Very Nice baja, I've decided to spruce up my 5B. Hopefully it looks as nice as yours when its done. I love the orange!

I Love the fact that members are sharing their bajas on this Forum. Part of me really wants to keep the Trevor engine in it and run. Just need more Locals to have one to run with. John just told me who you are. Thanks for signing up on this Forum and sharing. Very cool looking Baja.

Hop

Wow, it would be cool to run one on that paved oval. Nothing like that here. Nice Baja.

In my R/C Driver mag it had a pic of 1/4 scale dirtbikes shown ayt the Large Scale r/c booth. don't see them on the website. Are they out yet?

Hop, run it! That engine is begging to run.

Yea, On the Bikes. I can tell you there has been a problem occur in selling these. There is a patent rights infringement on these machines. That company contacted us on this problem, along with sending us the supporting documents. Needless to say, we have had to remove them from our product line.

That Simpson should nearly turn that Baja inside out ! Definitely sounds like some fun.

I'll add some of the videos of my dirt track between paved oval races.

Watch in High Quality - Notice at 1:18 in, a stcok 26cc engine can crank a Baja on the back wheels.

After checking different tires, this set-up worked best.

A bit of opposite direction running.

Do those gas engines need any kind of break in like the nitros or can they be run right out of the box?

They can run right out of the box, But ... The one requirement I suggest to everyone. Thake it easy one the first tank of fuel. Don't hold it wide open for extended periods. Just attempt to keep from achieveing WOT for the first tank of fuel. After that, which should take about 40 minutes, your ready to rock !

Paved oval Baja I love the sound of that. I think we should all have one of those. I just love pavement tracks very hard to find around here but still would like to try that. Thanks for sharing this!! Oh yes that is one of the sweetest Baja's I've ever came across very nice job. 11+ Had to rate that out of the Scale way to Cool!!!!

The on-road stuff is a ton of fun. Here is a local lot we go do some practice runs on. It's brutal on tires if you are racing hard, especailly if you use HPI Tarmac busters.

I know it takes a bit longer to load, but High Quality viewing is much better.

We began running night races & I wanted to change color schemes, so I could see the car better. This is what I ran the last half of the year & at the Baja Nationals. Look for my car in the HPI add in RCDriver Mag this month. It will look like this :

Cool story ...

I won this GoPro camera at the Hostile Bajafest event in 2009. I was told that they wanted to have video of the event from that camera. I laughed & said Oh you will have a video ! One of the other guys already had a GoPro, & so we both mounted them up for the main race & had a guy shooting from the side as well. Had a cheapie Rear mount cam on one car too, but it did not work. I spent many hours & edited them all together and made an action video of the A-Main from all angles. I come in 2nd to Hostile Rob himself, who owns the facility, but though I had won ... It's long, but worth a watch. The ending is coolest where we all come off the stand !!

This is absolutely some of the best times I have had running an R/C ever & I've had lot's & been doing this for over 20 years. Amazing on how you can take one vehicle & make it into something completely different.

Love It !!
