after going from huge huge huge into the scene, i have been completely out of it, so i guess i go from having the most posts on hpisavageforums before the crash, and now I'm a noob again lol. I'm positive alot of the engines have changed in the last 2-3 years. last time i was looking to upgrade was when i was waiting for the O.S. .30 to come out and it was delayed forever it seemed like.

so what I'm looking for is not the fastest, the greatest, most expensive engine ever. i want the most reliable, when it comes to my savage i really just want to drive. i have enough fun tuning my 70+ mph ofna to last me a lifetime, so i wanted the engine that i would have to touch the needles the least...from my experience, that has always been os? anything change? lower price is always great too..

The OS.30 is still areliable easy to tune engine, but all low end. They arent very good on the top end. The LRP spec3 is just as easy to tune, very reliable and beginner freindly. Tune it and baisicly forget it. It has a much better top end then the os. Piccos are high quality and fast, but not as easy to tune. You will get a bunch of replys to this thread. Its really a personal thing. IMO the LRP is the best engine under $200 if speed isnt your factor. I'm a power nut so I have a STS.30 and a Picco.28. I also own a shp6 same as a lrp spec2. Its the most ready to go engine that I own.

i used to run SH engines and always had good luck with them
i recently bought a Axial .28 and a the .32, and love them both
but, as always you can never go wrong with OS in the reliablity department

LRP Spec 3. Solid, easy tune holds the tune and don't forget to be nice to her and and get the Buku pipe, She'll love ya for it. Pick up a set of Nova shoes while your at it.

I have to agree the LRP and the Picco are probably the best engines you can get for under or around $200. I may be purchasing a Picco very soon.

My Axial .28Spec1S's have been decent motors however The RR I had was tarable but some have had bad luck and some have had good luck with them. However either way the LRP and Picco will create more power and be better longer running engines.

os,enough said. I have the 28 truggy engine and it is insane! My losi 8t is almost too much for my local track.
