Nice, looks like it should be a decent motor expecially if you get the timing dialed in and get the shift points set up correctly. I'm sure it will pull wheelies well if on a good tracton surface instead of that wet, icy grass. All as long as the front bearing holds up.

thanks for the reply, I don't plan on having this motor much longer, I plan on getting an sts .30 or an O.S 30vg.
about the wheelies, I made a wheelie bar setup that keeps the front end on the ground at all times, and I'm running 4 stock shocks instead of 8, the truck just squats and pulls.

Great Idea about the wheelie bar. Why do you want a OS30VG you Axial 30 will be stronger than the OS expecially being P&P.

Now the STS is a different story.

Hey scrogathon, the axial 32 is a great mill. I had one for a good while. did very well for me. Actually got about 8 gal. through it before the front bearing gave way.

Thats the best running axial I've ever seen run...25% of them would have overheated from sucking air in from every machined surface.

Yea this motor has done me good, always starts first or second pull, tunes predictably, although it loves the fuel🙂

anyways I will be posting some pics of the work i did on the crank and sleeve tommorow

and if anyone wants to see how I modifyed the hpi wheelie bar to prevent wheelies alltogether.(great for racing)

forgot to note I usually run on 30% nitro, with aluminum clutch shoes, and Atm I'm running some stock carbon shoes off the 4.1 and 20% nitro.

Heres some pics of what I did to my motor for anyone that would like to see.

I got it tuned enough to spin 4 tires on the pavement🙂 Ill post a video when I get a chance.

I will snap some pics of it it tonight but basicly what i did was flip the wheelie bar and mount it upside down facing towards the ground.

I cut at the red marks.

Sounds pretty nice. Once you get that dialed in i would bet it would scream. And I'm noticing everyone is doing there own port modding, polishing now. One of these days ill work up enough nerve to try it myself. Just not yet hehe.

yea every time I get the chance to take it out I find some more power, I run it with a peice of sock on the head to keep it warm as its around -5 here when i run
