Anyone tried using the tires and rims off an MGT 4.6? I know they are a lot heavier, but they are slightly larger. Anyone?

Well, I just got a set of ebay for $30 (including shipping)... I will report back on how I like them!

I have been running these tires around quite a bit, so here is a short review.

The good:
-They look incredible. (I will get some pics posted later.)
-They are really cheap on ebay. ($30-40 on ebay for a full set with shipping)
-They bolt straight up.
-The tread pattern is great for all-terrain bashing. They hook up well on dirt and grass, but they can also be run on asphalt without working about tearing up the tread.
-I have done quite a few barrel rolls and cartwheels and have not been able to get the tires to come off the rim.

The bad:
-They are almost twice as heavy as a set of DirtBonez. This means they have more than double the rotational inertia. My acceleration and braking were dramatically altered. My truck in running p18 s49 gears with an axial 28. With the DirtBonez, I could wheelie and brakie on command. With the MGTs, it is actually hard to get the truck to wheelie and braking stinks. The extra weight has taken a toll on my clutch and brakes, which I need to replace. (I will be regearing to p15 s49 to fix the acceleration problem and switching to the fiber brakes.)

Would I recommend them? Yes, but keep in mind they are going to take a toll on other parts of your truck.
