Hi all.

I have just purchased an lrp.32 to put in my Savage. I have done alot of youtube and forum reading and understand how and which way a clutch should sit.

If I put the clutch on backwards the springs sit in the clutch nut perfect but if I turn it around the right way the springs sit to high and won't sit in the groove.

Any advice/help would be appreciated thankyou.

Turn them around.

You can flip them around and run them the other way. I've never done it myself but from what I've read here on the forum is that a lot of people actually prefer it the other way or 'leading' opposed to the typical way where the shoes are 'trailing'. I guess it makes the shoes bite a bit snappier. But like I said I've never tried it, so I don't know if it will help or hurt the life of your shoes or clutch bell. If it were mine and they would only fit one way, I'd give it a try. You may love it

ThankYou both for your help.

I will try it its just from what information I have plucked out of other threads some people have said if you spin them around the engine will spin the shoes the wrong way so they won't open and engage properly.

Only reason I don't just want to bang it in is its a brand new engine so would rather be 100% sure so everything is spot on before I start the run in process.

On the other hand I think I will go with what you lads have said and just try it. Just got to get my air filter and servo saver as mine snapped then she will be ready.

Than's again for your replys
