Hey all. erm help please. 😛nclsmilie:

I recently stripped my button head and have replaced it but now it will not run correctly. 😢

I was just wondering how many shims are meant to be underneath the burn room, I checked and only have three but my other mills all have four? have I just answered my own question? 4? I'm thinking that I lost one some how! would this affect the performance?
It starts but will not accelerate and stops when i come off the throttle!

I'm guessing yes.

Just one more question will a shim of off another .30 mill fit?

Thanks for any help

Brad.

I'm out of ideas??

well i have checked for leaks and nothing so haven't sealed it.

i tried a new glow plug and set it all back to factory settings and it did start for a while but would not idle. so played with it abit more but now it will not start!

its really depressing me now 🙁 lol

How did you check it for leaks? The best way to check for leaks is with the motor out of the truck. Clean the mill really good then remove the air filter and header & pipe. Then get a cup of water with a little bit of dish soap mixed in (unless you have bubbles handy). Take about an 18-24 in piece of fuel tubing and attach it to the fuel nipple. With one hand, use your thumb and index finger to cover the intake and exhaust openings. Make you keep good pressure on them. Then use your other hand to brush on the water/soap mix while blowing really hard into the fuel tubing attached to the fuel inlet nipple. Check for bubbles around the backplate, cooling head, glow plug, carb & all needles, and the front bearing. If see any bubbles in the areas you check then you have an air leak.

If you have checked it that way and didn't have any leaks, then report back and we'll help some more.

yep thats how i checked it. i didnt how ever check the fuel tank that might have a crack? I think I'm going to have to take it all out again and double check every thing.

God this is getting tedious!!

Really appreciate the help tho guys.
