Losi 30% fuel?

Hey guys I was just wondering what your thoughts are on losi 30% nitro? I was using traxxas 33% and just switched to 30% Losi and my engine seemed to run like sh!t. I guess I need to retune it but I noticed it was also running hotter ? I'm confused I guess I need to retune it. Or does losi gas suck?

I've ran losi fuel before it was a decent fuel not to oily good power ..you just need to Re tune. ..every time you switch fuels you have to Re tune ..

Ok I'm confused why my engine was hotter? When I was running 33 % it was at 230-240F today running 30% it was at 275F ?

Because when you run less nitro you run the truck leaner. that increases the temperature.

Ah ok this makes sense! I'm surprised a 3% change in nitro content would make such a big change in mill temp. Guess I better get this tuning thing down! It seems every time you sneeze on the thing you have to re tune it.

Traxxas 33% is not a true 33% nitro. Its actually only contains 20% nitro. The owner of clockwork racing engines explained this to me. I now run werks 30% an it is truly 30% an my engines run really well.

Miley its funny u say that because I was thinking to my self I wonder who regulates the nitro content to ensure it is what they say it is. I doubt anyone does I had a feeling that traxxas nitro wasn't really 33%

Is it nitrotanes rtr or race ? I run nitrotane 20% race in my small block and it rips its exclent fuel now for 30% i run trinity platium race fuel it has 8% oil .... It hauls butt on my picco and runs nice and cool oh yeah another tip when running higher nitro use cold plug not a hot plug ..
