I know I want to go with robinson for the combo but I am having some trouble picking the set up I want. Here is my deal. I have axial.28rr 3 spd tranny, BP diffs, 40 series tires FLM EXT. I am not looking for huge top end as I rarely like to top my truck out. I figure any top end I may loose I can adjust my tranny to help compensate. I am looking for some low end grunt. Nothing crazy but enough to pop a wheelie every so often.
In doing my normal researching I somewhat learned to understand gearing. But I am confused as to how my final numbers relate to Top end and Low end torque. Here is my numbers

Stock (just for reference)
CB/SG 17/49 = .346
Diffs 13/43 = .302

Current

CB/SG 17/49 = .346
BP Diffs 29/9 = .310

Optional CB/SG combos

16/47 = .340 Seems like this will be close to what I have now
14/52 = .269 This is where I get confused. Is this more top end or low end?

So is a number closer to .000 more low end or more toward 1.00
I am a visual learner so it helps me to understand if I type it out how I understand it. If any of this is wrong let me know.

you will get more torque for this 1..

higher number, better top end (i've tested up to .408 or 20/49 to be good on .30 mill)
lower number, better low end.
