i'm looking for some brackets/mounts for a project. here's an ebay link to the type of brackets i'm looking for:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&Item=260331413492

tried mcmaster-carr, but didn't find anything like that. it's basically a tube mounted to a plate. it's hard to believe that only one man, in Australia, is producing these kinds of brackets.

i've tried:

tube mount/bracket
rod mount/bracket
pole mount/bracket
dowel mount/bracket

nothing remotely close....

the only thing that resembles the above brackets is "flag mount", but those are way too big for roll cage brackets.

hey Allan, thanks, but i'm not entirely sure it'll be able to stand up to the abuse, what do you think? seems like common PVC pipe (lowes/home depot) would be too brittle to use for mount as i believe that's the area that takes the brunt of the load. as for plexiglass, i don't have any experience with it and don't really know how it'll hold up. i'm sure there are different grades of both materials, but some sort of metal or alloy would be preferred.

i guess i could give brazing a go.

Looking at that add again, my only opinion is if you want a good cage, contact drummerguy101.

Bank, I believe that member was banned here not too long ago.

the thing about the cage, i want the same cages as that ebay seller sells, except his flux cage is less than adequate, in my opinion. if i can get my mitts on some of these brackets, i'd make my own nylon cage as i feel a cage out of an actual metal/alloy would bend often. the flexibility of a plastic appeals to me as well. if i can't figure out what to call this type of bracket and don't take up learning how to braze, i may end up contacting drummerguy101 to see if he can make me a few of these things. thanks for the ideas thus far!
