I'm in the process of converting a savage X to brushless. I ran into a snag on the gear box. To make it a single speed I need a HPI 100905. If anyone can help please let me know.

Hi. I am in the same situation. HPI 100905 seems not to be available yet. The shaft only is not available either. I transformed the 2 speed internal gear to single speed (by taking out the plastic gear) and locked the other to enable reverse operation. Unfortunately I didn't take photographs of the process.
I have another one to modify in the same way. When I have the time to do it I will make a video of how it is done.

Thats a good solution.
This is my economic solution. Only a M4 grub screw and epoxi glue are required:

Thats a good solution. You will just have to use a smaller pinion because of the higher internal gear ratio.

If you want to keep the original gear ratio,
I finally converted another gearbox and made a video of it:

It is working fine with a 2250KV motor on 6S.

Upon farther review, that 102244 is to wide to fit. Not sure how it's a replacement for the 100905 when it's so much wider. So keep lookin for the HPI 100905. Good luck. I got lucky and found one at a hobby town USA in
