Hey

I am very new to cars .. And today, the 3rd day with octane. Front left wheel came off while running .. I found the two metal nuts .. One inside the wheel and one out side thw wheel .. Put them back and locked with the tool.

Then i check and all 3 other wheels where pretty loose ..

I saw some other guys had problems with that ..
And i now understand i need to check them every run ..

So .. Should i use thread locker here or not ?

Thanks.

Thanks.
I have some red stuff i am using for heli ..
I am happy with the performance. I will give it a try.

One trick I use is to coat the axle threads and let it set up overnight, when I put on the wheels it seems to hold the nuts on tighter. I do this on my MMT because it uses a buggy style 17mm hex and my wheels stay on tight until I remove them.....
The red locktite is actually too much grip and you may have trouble getting the nuts off, just a heads up on this...

You'll find that there is a lot of areas that need lock-tight when it comes to metal on metal.

Thanks.

You might not want to use red on your wheel nuts. That stuff can lock up solid and require heat to break it loose. Heat will melt your plastic wheels.
