Lightweight Transmission

I’m kind of new, I have a old limited edition savage 25 in parts soon to make it way to a all out racer this summer of 2010. I've been going through race thread after race thread on this site and savage-central on ideas and ECT. I, however, haven't been able to find information on a lightweight transmission. I find many people who build their own (like savagesam nice truck btw) but no details. So I am asking for as much help as I can get, part #'s and maybe some pics please.

what are you looking for? to swap out steel for TI or to make custom 1 speeds like Sams and mine?

Welcome check with your local track some require that the trans be a two speed. One and three speeds aren't a loud some places.

1 and 2 speeds can be made to pass inspection lol all about looking right ....

I don't use plastic tranny gears. my modded mills eat them up
