I have the stock .25 motor out of my savage sitting. It runs like a dog and I have a back up savage i would put it in if i could get it to run decent so here is the plan dumb as it may.

I am very good with a flex shaft and I figure I am going to put that skill to the test along with my still limited knowledge about nitro motors and give modding this turd a shot. I don't really care if I destroy the thing so I have very little to loose.

Any advice/tips would be great(other than don't do it, I already know this is dumb)

You can't learn without trying and failing first right??????????:retarded:

my advice is make sure you wear some safety glasses.

you keep sayin its 'dumb.' if its so dumb then why bother doing it? if its

something that your interested in trying & learning sounds smart that your

gonna do it on a mill that doesnt work well. I'm just wondering how you'll be

able to tell what kind of a job you did if the motor doesnt run well?

If it stops running like crap i did a good job. this thing has no power. wish i had a vid to show you.

at the very least you will get practice on how all the different materials
respond to grinding.

Once you get it rite you'll be hooked like me

:drunk:

o`ya~ advise: take your time, do as much research on the subject as possible. It takes no time at all to blue print a engine and do the grinding and polishing but, it takes a while to gather all the knowledge you need to do it rite. I am still learning myself.
search our engine modding section:
~ search our pros (Purenitro,AB mods and RB mods) posts for a load of great info. I have a full binder of tips and tricks from our great forum members.
good luck my man

Here is a link to a thread I started a few years back, it gives some info on what to do with flow mods. Although the flow mods give minimal gains in power, they are a fun way to learn. I don't get into cutting the chrome or changing timing as that is something I have invested thousands of dollars in "at my own expense" as I don't believe in experimenting on customers engines! If you cut at the wrong angle or in the wrong direction not only is the sleeve ready for the trash but the piston can be destroyed in as little as 1-3 revolutions. It takes years to build a custom engine that is ready for market but if your just messing around with your own engines this may help you out a lot. Happy grinding lol.
