Hi there
Well, after not doing anything to my savvy for a while I bought battery level indicator (TowerPro). I paid about £4 posted – so this is much better than HPI one (£15!!!).

Doing this I thought that I could put something special there as well and I came up with LED idea. I have 2700mAh custom hump pack on mine so that should be ok for some LED’s (I can always put another battery pack if needed)
So the plan is:
1. Put some tail lights – COMPLETED
I have installed 5mm clear 5000mcd LED’s. LED’s are fitted with lenses and on top of that I put some hot gun glue. That should hold everything in place.
And because I'm fitting them to fiberglass body fitting them is much easier.

2. Headlights – COMPLETED
This task was more complicated than tail lights. There is much more LED’s with two levels of brightness. LED’s I have installed (one headlight):
- Yellow 3mm clear – 600mcd
- Blue 5mm clear – 1000mcd
- White 5mm clear – 8000mcd x2
I have mounted also big LED cluster for extra lightning power (8x white 5mm clear 8000mcd).
Lenses and some LED’s fitted

The main task is get them to work 😀
The way how it suppose to work is:
They are permanent ON (could be OFF – switch will be installed later). Reverse servo will operate next switch which will switch them to ultra bright mode (only white ones). Obviously idea could change because project is not completed yet.
3. Install reverse servo and wire everything up – WORK IN PROGRESS
I have had little play with aluminium foil 😀
And some live pics 🙂
And FULL BOOST
To be continued…
