Bought a used savage SS today... I was thinking about buying a nitro and this deal came up bascially 5 min drive away
I have zero experience with nitro

IT's in good condition I think.

Everything works as it should but
-I plugged the charged into it and the red light on the charger won't turn on. The volt meter says the battery is stone dead. I don't know if its worth messing with or getting a new battery etc OR should I just buy a new glow plug heater? If I should just buy new, can I get recommendations for one off amazon.ca? I live farily remote area.. Shipping is awful and a city if 6 hour round trip.. so we stick to amazon if possib.e

- Also, I would like to grab some new glow plugs for it. What size and type does it take? I'm in northern Canada.. very dry air in summers and very wet spring/fall air..

Aside from that, I think I'll enjoy the car.

Thanks!

The glow stick igniters are the bane of everyone's life - always flat when you need it, requires a specific charger, many field chargers can't charge single cells, and even when fully charged are only barely capable of delivering enough oomph to get a proper glow in your plug.

Having done some research - this is the way to go:

Buy right - buy once.

It's powered by a 18650 lithium ion cell. The voltage is regulated and it charges up off any USB C. Win win.

Fuel: Use 16% - 25% nitro fuel.

Plugs: depending on what's available, try OS no 8 plugs or LRP R5. My go to plugs were Nova Rossi C6G, but they're impossible to source now without importing at ridiculously high cost.

Let us know how you get on! 😁👍
