Keeps the fuel from siphoning through the muffler and all over something nitro doesnt need to be on. Also helps if you carry it around by the bumper. I can also get away with keeping it in the house with piece of mind if i left some fuel in the tank at the end of the day. Doesnt affect pressure flow from muffler to tank.
 
I believe its a tip for one of those pumps the guys use to fill there airplane tanks .cant b more than a buck or two i usually carry around my savage by either of the bumpers while transporting it to my car or out in the field.
 
why go through the expense when you can just put the feed line to the preasure side of the tank. good idea tho

+1 mick, as soon as I'm done the feed line goes on the exhaust nipple on the tank, burn off the excess fuel and call it a day.
