Is this ok?

i was taking my truck apart and I see this... The truck works fine but I'm worried it will fail at a random time in the future.

Something is fried there, is that your reverse module or what is it......

Ya I know, it is termed electrical overload letting the magic smoke out of the components....
I am sure that one cap takes care of reverse and the other 2 take care of forward operation, hence you have no reverse function any longer...

if you are good at soldering you can put a new one on.....they're only a couple of bucks on ebay.

Ok... But the capacitor got damaged after.... It wasn't before the reverse problem. Everything you said makes sense.

People are confused here. That esc will run just fine without that cap in circuit, so unless it is shorted internally this is not your issue. Likely though a supply has been damaged causing that cap to spew dielectric. Those caps are simply there to kill EMI or ripple.
