Is it suggested to convert a Savage 4.6 in drift car???

I am wondering if i can convert with pvc rings on the tires my 4.6 in a Drift Savage. Do you thing the transmission would hold all this revs??
Has any experience this before?

Any suggestion?

I've seen it done. Though I don't know what the end result was for them. At the very least though, you will want to lower the suspension quite a bit. Get the center of gravity down to the ground, which may be tough as the savage carries it's weight much higher.

Either way, post up when you do it. Should be fun!

That for sure I will post some pics and videos. I am planing to build a nice set of drift tires.
Thank for the remainder to lower as much as possible the suspension. Sometimes these little details make a big diference. Right know in Houston is to hot outside to bash my rigs.. So I will take advantage and build this tires.

Might be good to look into a sway bar set too. There are several out there for the Savage. Here is a review an HPISF user did on the HPI kit:

Ramadrid7 this drift build / conversion may be the best application of the savage sway bar to date....imo

I have low cg stamped tvps on my 32 savage,, adding drift tires might be fun

Ok, here is my new project. Prototype #1 new drift tires.
Is not 100% perfect but i have a lot of fun today. Is not easy to drive this tires, especially not to over rev the engine.

Are those made from expanding foam ??? thats a great idea... maybe add some grooves to them so they have a bit better traction 😀

Don't forget to find a way to cool the engine. Drifting doesn't generate an airflow around the cooling head.

And he'll be revving the engine alot. I agree with @Caretaker109, definitely should look into a more effective cooling technique. Maybe get a ESC fan and plug it into the receiver?
