Anyone have a problem with the integy turnbuckles. they don't fight right. i tighten the screws up to mount it and it makes my stearing stiff.its like the balls in the ends don't have enough play

i HAD THE SAME PROBLEM WITH THE SUPER DUTY ONES, i SOLD THEM TO A MEMBER HERE AND HE DIDN'T HAVE THE PROBLEM.

Sorry about the caps, I found the ride height had to be very low. I thought t was the same problem with the balls, are you tring to istall them on a stock savage?

I did find them to be pretty tight during install, I had force them into place.

But once on they work fine.

I could see if you are useing all aluminum componets that there would not be

the flexability needed to use the set I have. because of the tight fit and the

angle at full suspension extension.

ya its all stock haven't done much yet.if i leave the mounting screws loose they work fine if i tighten them all the way the stearing seems very tight

I had them and kept stripping the threads out on the rear ones. If I landed hard on the rear tires it would shear them apart.

I spoke too soon, broke a back one today. dang

what could i do to get them to mount i can push the wheel up and they will mount fine but it will put stress on the other parts

I also got a set of these new and have the same prob, I really looked at them even after bending the end of them to see if that would work, well dosent work, now here is the prob with the Integy turnbuckles, and I'm sure someone will disagree with me but this is the conclusion I came to, the pivit balls are to small to allow for the massive wheel travel of the savage, they work good till it is all the way down or up, that is where they hit, I'm sure it could be dremeled out a little as I was gonna try but was afraied it would take from the strainght of it,,..

just my opinion,,..

sorry for the spelling, never could spell that good :dmt:

my lunsford tie rods binded on the steering, I used an aluminum spacers i had gotten at the hobbie shop. They are like 1/8 of an inch thick, placed them on the steering plate underneath the ball end fixed that prob. if the ballends are to small use the spacers that are coned at the end, and shim them up a little.
something like these they are 3 mills thick and coned up. this will lift them up away from the mounting spots and the cone shap lets them work more properly. there are sevral diffrent sizes of cone spacers ,various thicknes, colors, and they work very good with ball ends, or binding problems.
