Well, my damn tax return didn't come this week, so I'm stuck for the weekend with no Savy still, and nothing else to do.
So...I headed over to my parents' place and put the finishing touches on my tater gun. Big sucker, 10' long 2" barrel, 10' of 4" pressure chamber, with a 2" sprinkler system valve to fire it. At 120psi, it'll throw a tuber downrange so hard it self-mashes itself, and whatever it hits. Fired for distance, the tater took a weird turn around 150-200 feet out, and curved up till it was climbing nearly vertically, topping out somewhere around 300 feet up, then corkscrewed madly all the way down. I can only figure it developed one hell of a back spin somehow...The next shot got about 50 feet out and just splattered in mid-air from aerodynamic stress.
