blast wheels and phaltline tyres ... awesome!

more pictures here.

Nothing wrong with being weak in this case. They look nice. Are they 14 mm or 17mm?

I have those wheels with the goliath tires. I love em. Only prob is that they are way heavier than stock and its impossible to wheelie. I assume since those tires are quite a bit smaller than my goliath that you might have better luck.

I been looking at those for a while also, they look sweet Jammer.

those will not give your diffs any break. The heavier the wheel and tires the more the stress put on the gears. I only mention this because of the diff problem you already had so early on your new truck. I would inspect and shimm those diffs again in one gallon. IMO

good luck chap

where did you get them?

Nice tyres. Just be careful driving with them that you don't hit anything. They don't have any give compared to the offroad tyres and it's heaps easier to break things.

Hey guys,

these are the 17mm jobbies and they came with the 17mm kit too, bargain!

As for the extra stress on the drive train that is totally true but i'm planning on using these on the road only, no bashing with these just for a bit more grip on tarmac 'n wotnot. Since my diffs were shimmed and upgraded with the savage x alu cases they feel aboslutely bulletproof, will just have to see how things go on that front.

larson,

not used them yet but will defo let you know how it goes.

I got them from my local hobby shop for a good deal £30 a pair instead of £34 ... small saving but it all adds up eh!

can't wait to give them a try, running a savage on tarmac with the stock wheels and tyres the whole car was just rolling too much when turning.

anyway, off to watch 300 on DVD now!

laters ...

There definately nice tires and rims!! they give the truck a real "sporty" look as apposed to a "basher"

I think that moment of weakness was a good one those are some sweet rims. Good call!!

good lord.

i've been eyeing these since the week they were released.

300 rocks!! what a film!

i love 'em the truck looks awesome in the flesh ... i wanna get some piggyback shocks next ... SAVAGE RULZ!!!!

noooo

stay away from any aftermarket shocks besides LST or LST2 shocks.

lots n lots of people have many problem with the aluminum threaded shocks, and the integy piggybacks are just all out junk.

stock or LST/LST2 is the way to go bud:axed:

LST, LST2, Muggy, Hpi Aluminum, CEN Piggybacks, all have my personal recommendation.

ahhhh damn thats what i meant ... i want the big phatt round LST Losi jobbies ... i thought they were sometimes called piggybacks too ... ahhh well, you like and learn eh!

thanks peeps.

shweeet!! 🙂

my diffs are all shimmed and rock solid ... at the mo there seems to be an issue with my carb which i'm waiting to hear back on from modelsport ... hopefully it should just be a warranty claim ... so my savage is engineless at the moment ... :O( no problem tho as i've been working like a f***er since it broke and its been p*****g with rain and windy too ...

booo!

yay ... just had the word back that they are fixing my carb for me and sending it back asap!

get in ...

yeah man, I have to say that they have been exceptional. Well above and beyond the expected and required. I wouldn't hesitate in sending anyone to them for any RC stuff.

Awesome, how do they perform, I want a set of slicks, and since I have those rims with Goliath tires. It would be cool, to have a matchng set of slicks. I'd go with the Innovative set-up for the Losi shocks. I have HPI's aluminium threaded shocks. They have been good to me. Anyhow let us know what you think of those tires, all you're missing is a kick *** sound system. Peace.
