I run Hitech Servo's in my trucks. My XL has the MG-685 and some of my others have MG-645(lil cheaper side) these are all metal geared. I have had no issues with them. As for the XL SF-5 I heard they have some plastic inside of it still. Think it was TBasher that somehow stripped his. I'd say get a MG-645 or if you have the cash MG-685.. . Of course other companies make metal geared servos like ACE(can be pricey) JR(about Hitech's prices)..

Hey Anthony, you'll get a lot of good advice from the experienced peeps here on that question... just wanted to say welcome to hpisf if i haven't already & say that the paint on your street car is pretty sick bro...nice r/c's

i love that fusion 28 it cost me a small fortune in parts as its so fast it crashes into everything with the larger wheels the fusion will reach 100mph 😀
were can i get the mg-645 or mg-685

personally, i use and recomend the ace ds1015. i would think with that beeeeg truck you might want a great servo.

unless the $$$ scare ya, it was about $100.00

i run that for both servos, no probs at all.

i use a brand called jr sport i think it is its cheaper then the hitech. Works great for me stripped one in the three years i have used this brand. My lhs carries them Hobby town usa. if you are interested i can get you some more info on this servo
