HPI Savage X Radio Issue

Hi All,

I am new to the hobby, and to the forum so apologies if this is obvious or in the wrong place.

I recently bought a HPI Savage X 4.6, managed to get it started today (needed a new glow starter), but now the previously working radio gear does not appear to be working. The kit fitted is TF 40 and RF40. I have tried to re-pair, but there are no lights on receiver (servo's are powering up so I know that power is fine, and just replaced all batteries). When started the engine goes flat out so it appears that the failsafe is in fact doing the opposite and maxing throttle!

Has the receiver just died? If so is there a reasonably priced replacement?

re check transmitter batteries , maybe not in right. then if you have manual , rebinde controller. change batteries if needed. don't start truck anymore until remote lights up and is set up. hope you don't need a new one.

Thanks J Lo. Unfortunately following some testing with multimeter came to conclusion the receiver is dead. Have ordered a new radio kit which will hopefully arrive today!
