HPI Savage X 4.6, I think it's broken

Hi all, just fitted new clutch wheel with metal gear this time and I have now wrecked something else. Can someone tell me what this is in the pic ?

Yup that is wrecked for sure, go for an extra hard clutch bell from RRP and that will solve the issue

@mw24hr the Robinson Racing clutch bell is certainly a nice one but by the looks of the picture your gear mesh is the real cause of this issue.

Yes it sure does look like it was set very tight to start off with....

If you install a metal spur gear, you have to install the clutch bell too. If you want stock get the 47t spur, 17T bell.
Robinson Racing is the best imo. They're cheap, and last forever it seems.

I have always had great luck with the stock savage x ss parts. Just make sure that your mesh is correct and you should have no problems. Don't forget to thread locker on all the screws that mount the motor. All the screws on the whole truck for that matter.
