hpi rs4-2 forum or help?

Hey guys just picked up a rs4 on a trade with larsen and he had an os 12 in there, I want to put my new trx 3.3 in there but the crank shaft diameter is larger and it has a slide carb vs. a rotary carb. any thoughts, does anyone else own one of these? can you lend me a helping hand?

Sweet, man that car has been through some hands!!! I believe that is the car that I had and sold to larsen and now you have it...and I got it from a kid also. I know when I had it, it had a rotary carb setup and I guess he changed it....I will dig my other car out if you want some pictures of the linkage and such.

parker that would be a huge help. the car is sweet, it looks like larsen took good care of it and upgraded it a bit as well. I'm looking forward to putting this larger motor in, some new wheels and tires and ill be in business. I have no starter box so as of now it sits.

Alright man I will dig it out and see. I know it is a little different than that car as the car is quite a bit older than that car. I know when I had it, it needed some work and I just got rid of it because I had too many projects and from the looks of larsens pics, he made it nice!!

yeah its pretty nice. I'm not really concerned about the linkage as I already have some ideas in my head for that, ill just flip the throttle servo around, angle the carb a bit and get a new servo horn. I'm really most concerned about fitting this 3.3 mill in there. I'm not sure where to buy parts to fit the 3.3 that will ultimately fit in the rs4. All i really need is a flywheel, and CB setup that will fit the 3.3 and not give me any clearance issues with the car. I was wondering if I just buy a flywheel of my choice that will fit the 3.3 and get a cb setup from a 3.3 4tec sedan. think that will work?
