I have been asked by Megabytyme to do a review on the HPI Land Rover Defender 90 body. Let me start this off by saying thank you to Mega and HPI for allowing me to do this.

When I first opened the Land Rover body I noticed that the body is made of thick lexan. To me this is important because, this means that the body isn't easily destroyed by flipping ect. The Land Rover body comes with all the stickers you need for the outside of the body and they are precut which is another plus and it comes with exact directions on were to put them. In conclusion the HPI body is a very well made body and comes with everything you need to do the body.

My wife T.T. has come up with the color skeam and grafix for this project, she will be doing the grafix and taping off the Land Rover body.
We have decieded the main color of the Land Rover body will be CheZoom Teal. , There will be barbed wire down both sides and the front and back that is going to be painted Indy Silver. The wheel wells and the windows are going to painted black. The body is well marked for cutting out, since the body is made of thick lexan it is a little tough to cut out. But a good sharp pair of sissors will do the job. I cleaned up the edges with a dremel and a sanding disc it just makes the edges smoother.

I have posted some pictures of the body just out of the package and also taped off before painting. I will be posting more pictures after I paint it. I want to again say thank you HPI and Mega.

Cool trixter, looks like it is going to be a sweet body. Old school body, thats what I like. Love the barb wire. Can't wait to see it finished.

It is cool but one thing I don't like about it is that it is very similar to the bronco body. I'm sure it will turn out swell with t.t. doing the coloring.

Looking good so ffar, I was wondering what the chezm teal looks like, It looks a bit darker from the plain teal from what I can tell in pictures, can't wait to see it.

I like it, a simple idea that even I could probably manage ...

Get a gallon or so on it and keep us posted on it hold up ..

the color is nice

Nice job on the review and the paint job, I have always liked those colors together, In fact I bought teal, black, charcoal gray and silver to use on my first try painting but changed my mind the last minute, so I will will do one in those colors sooner or later.

Thanks for the review!!
