Hpi forward is a no go

Idles fine runs fine off the ground then you put it on the ground and it just revs high as crap I've check the cups, the tranny, tightened the slipper all the way down. Idk what else to try. The guy at the hobby shop said it was my tranny one way bearing

Well the transmission is actually pretty basic to work on, I am assuming you have the manual for it.. take the thing apart and check all the clutches and gears and see if you can find the trouble, apart I am certain you will see the problem and be able to fix it.....
