HPI 85052 Gearbox!

With this newer gearbox then my older type can you get too & adjust 2rd & 3rd gear’s from removing the top half or does this still have to be done through the side by removing the rubber bung as I have always found this way abit hit & miss?

3rd gear thru gearbox hole, so no difference between the two cases. 2nd can only be done by removing gear assembly, as adjustment is only accessible when the 3rd gear is actually removed from the shaft, expsoing the 2nd gear adjuster. don't know why they have the extra hole in the case as it cant be used. But at least the easy access case makes it simpler to remove,

Okay thanks, just find adjusting 3rd gear through hole abit of a fiddle perhaps rather then use a hex driver will try an Allen key again.
I guess the other hole is so you can inspect teeth on gears or was it perhaps HPI had a redesign in pipeline to be able to excess this 2nd gear from outside also?
