i realize this is not a savage body but....
this is virtually a trick for ANY lexan you desire so lets begin...

Mask off any area(s) youll want to have the "carbon" look to the lexan shell.

Using Tamiya paint "Smoke" #PS-31
In coats allowing for time to dry, spray the areas on the body. This will take approx 5 coats or so to do.

For the next stage which i haven't done yet as I'm still working on this body youll need "carpenters tape" found at any local hardware store near you.

MORE TO COME!

Apparently in Cana"DuH" we don't know this as Carpenters tape? lol

Self-adhesive Fiberglass Drywall tape will be used in this article.

Apply the drywall/carpenters tape in a diagnal position as shown from the inside of the lexan.

make sure to work the tape into any crevices and molding forms.

NOW TO THE PAINT JOB....BE BACK SOON FOR MORE!!

thanks.
think i forgot to mention after putting the drywall tape on, painting it black which gives off the carbon look.

too bad that a company doesnt make a small sheet of some kind of mesh-like material to apply to parts like this DIY so you don't have to line up the mesh nor get the lines seen afterwards in the paintjob.

oh well, still looks sweet!

thanks for the feedback
