Well I not sure, but as a low estimate it's gota be over 2500. That's £ not $ I must have spent on it over 3 years, mainly on hop ups. I think the only stock spares I bought were the lower suspension arms and a fuel tank, the rest has been hop ups. You know how it is, you buy something and like it for a while, but then you see something better. It's never ending, after 3 years I'm still adding to it or changing things that have already been hopped up more than once. I think I'd have a cardiac arrest if looked back at all my credit card statements ! :hardlaugh:

ok, when i started reading these posts i had to smile. i know that i am not alone. as i got to page three my smile was gone, i realized we are ALL SICK. my savage is an old .21 savage, the only things that are original are: the tvps, engine plate, and the sf-1 throttle brake servo. i already have $350 worth of hop ups sitting on the bench. SICK SICK SICK. and i wonder why i run out of BEER money.
p.s. i hate to admit it, my guess is over $1500

just bought mine brand new 399.00 thanks to your guys info i finally got it running and broke in. first mod going to be a wheely bar this thing is nuts.

Ya the wheely bar will help but I still tend to flip it one in a while. Is that the savage 4.6? If so thats a great price. I got mine for 525.00.(Canada) Anyway I've had mine for three months now and I put over 1100 hundred in upgrades. People say its a money pit and I thought..... I'm in control no problem. Ya right I keep upgrading, we are all insane to start in this hobbie but I love it. Cheers!!

Between the two savys i have well over 2 grand in each. you figure atleast one compleate rebuild a year from a bad landing. then the motors and all the hop up's and controllers. all the stuff i break through out the year and the things i just cant do with out. I would hate to know what i really have in them. All i can say is thank god for ebay or it would cost alot more then it allready dose.

The wife bought mine for me used for 400 bucks, It took a year and another 600 bucks to get it running right. I'm now into hop-ups parts for about another 300. I'm looking to spend another 3-400 in the next month or so

price isnt that bad for parts and hop ups when you think of the price for axles for a dana 60 ive bought lots of them i ride my quad the way i drive the rc that gets expensive too good bang for the buck i think. maybe I'm just trying to justify spending the money.

I hear ya on that, My car audio habit takes up most of my free cash. The savage has been by far cheaper.

well..

I purchased the Savage X for $300, spent another $165 on other crap to get it going and probably another $150-$200 on small budget mods to enhance the overall look and performance.

so I voted for $500-$1000
