hey guys once i break this x4.6 in and run it all summer and fall what is the best things to do to prepare the engine for a 6 month sit ? so hopefully it will start up next spring.

Remove all fuel from tank and fuel lines and apply some wd40 in the carb and remove glow plug apply some wd40 in cylinder then cycle the piston up and down the reinsert the glow plug

That’s what I use but a member here said that it gums up. So I was only going off that I’ve never had an issue with it gumming up. I myself prefer aro then WD 40.

Yeah, it kind of evaporates and leaves a light grease on everything, so can get kind of gummy. I've just used ARO for quite a few years for storage. Few drops down the carb, then I work the carb in/out, a drop in the HSN inlet and 6-8 drops down the glow plug hole, then I pivot the engine around so the oil drops down in the crank case and then I pull the starter a few times to work it around.
