I normally just put them out from the backside with a flat-blade screwdriver or hex driver. It's usually best to push on one side, then the other, then back, etc., and "rock" them out so they don't wedge into the plastic.
My glow plug wrench fits perfect in the hole and has less chance of fubaring the bearing seal than a flat screw driver. I have also used wooden dowels for the same purpose.
