I keep stripping the teeth off my clutch bell!

I must be setting it up wrong, so how can I line the gears up perfectly and with the correct mesh clearances?

Many thanks guys,

Eddie

its not as hard as your probly making it on yourself . its easy to over think these trucks sometimes ... its easy to set the mesh .... just use a thin piece of paper like lined notebook paper fold it in half so its two pieces thick... then set the gears so it creases the paper between the gears with out it ripping apart and turn the gears so it comes out .. once the papers out it should have a smooth feel to the gears but not a sloppy free spinning feel to it .. hope this helps ...good luck..

also.. if your teeth are stripping off the cb only .. you must be using a steele spur gear. with a non hardened clutch bell I'm asuming ... the steele spurs should have a hardened clutch bell to handle the power ... if your using a vented cb that might be the issue to.. i run them with out any problems .. but i hear ppl eating clutch bells when not using a hardend cb...
