I found a problem with my roto start when I put the HPI wheely bar on my truck. The shaft was too short and I couldn't put the shaft in straight so I got to thinking and found out that I could extend the shaft so I could use the roto start straight in. I went to my local hardware store and bought two set screws and a three inch brass pipe nipple. I cut the threaded ends off of the nipple and cut the shaft in the hex area. Then drilled two holes in the nipple and threaded them for the set screws. Then I put them together and now I can start my truck using the roto start straight in. Hope this helps out some other people and I know I need to go back and get some smaller set screws.

interesting idea. You can also cut a little out of the bumber so the roto-start comes in a little lower.

i had the same problem with my extended tvp's. i just go in from the side hole on the shock towers, where the body mount post goes throug. all i had to do was wack a bit off the back of the body.
