Help With Savage SS XTM 457

Hi All,
New here... just was wondering if anyone can help me out.... I have a savage SS and broke in a new XTM 457 engine. It ran excellent. now when i run it its really high pitched and the truck barely goes anywhere.... I cant see and damage to spur gear or inside the gears.... any tips??? I just cant figure it out.....

I would try tightening the slipper clutch. Or take the spur gear off and check the pad behind it. It tends to get hot and melt the inside of the spur gear. If thats not it check the driveshafts It kinda sounds like one of the set screws broke. Otherwise tear the transmission apart.

also if your clutch shoes are not new, check them because they might be worn out. or check your drivetrain from top to bottom making sure nothing broken or missing.

I'd put my $0.02 in on the spur being melted on the shaft...happened to me a few times!

i had a similar problem and it was the shoes. pop that clutch bell off and check how much meat is left on those bad boys. welcome to the forums as well!
