I just got a brand new Spektrum dx3 system and it works great but I'm having a problem with the servo controlling the throttle and brakes. It works perfect on the throttle side but when I push the trigger for brake it goes to full extension. No matter how little I push it, the servo goes to full on, the throttle side has perfect modulation, very linear, but brake is on or off? Its the race servo that came with it and is new. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Have you tried setting the end point? The DX3 can go up to 125%. Id check that first and let us know if setting to 100% or lower corrects the problem for you.

what servo are you using.
on the 3r there is a framerate setting for digital/analog servos, it can make servos got nuts and do wierd things. 5ms for digi and 11ms for analog

My spektrum kit came with the transmitter, receiver, a standard servo and a race servo, all spektrum digital, I'm using the spektrum race servo, thats the one with the problem, its not the end point that is the prob. It works fine turning the one way for the throttle, but when it starts at neutral and I go for brake there is no progressive movement, its either nuetral or full extension. if I set the end point lower then it just goes to the lower end point, but there is no middle or modulation. So the brakes are off, or on full lock. I could pull it out and try another but I was hoping you guys knew of a fix for something I did wrong. Wierd,....

Its possible its just a bad servo. I would test another one on the receiver to see.

I read your first post wrong, I thought you had a dx3r. sorry, it sounds like you have a bad servo. call spektrum.

Alright, I believe you guys are probly right on this, I emailed spektrum and will wait a day or so to see what they say. I bought it on ebay store so I hope they don't give me grief for that.

I had to contact spektrum about a receiver problem and they were great. I had to ship the receiver back for testing. They didnt find any problems but sent me a brand new one to avoid any problems. And it was a quick turn around too
