theyve been sitting on the shelf for a few years...i rebuilt them and thats where they went, lol.

I pulled my .25 down that i put a .26 in, i don't remember what kinda motor it is...

charged everything up and fired it up...it started the first pull after priming it.
then bogged down and turned off within 5-10 seconds, tried restarting it, and when you pull it, it sounds like ti wants to fire up but doesnt...

these have never been ran since i rebuilt them 3-4 years ago...

has mugen alum clutch shoes and springs, i believe...

Frddys question goes first.

Let me say if you preheat the engine with a heat gun, blow dryer or some form of heat it should fire.. Maybe check your tuning also.

let get a pic of that .26 too we can ID it and get it some starting needle positions to go off

Welcome to the forum. probably some gummed up fuel in the motor. With a good cleaning and a new glow plug you shouyld be good to go.

fuel is a few years old, odonnel %20 i believe, but has never been opened, i just opened it

and id imagine the tuning is way off, i cannot find any manuals....

ok i have a new glow plug here i will put in, and i will have to pick up some fuel, too bad cuz i still have two 1 gallon unopened jugs lol...

got 2 new glow plugs at the local hobby shop $20 for 2 plugs =O

and fuel is good.....

still does the same thing, can anyone tell me what motor it is that i have, and what i should set the needles too? or carb opening spacing when closed...

Fuel should still be good as long as you didn't store it on a concrete floor, it will last for years if stored properly.

it seems good, idle looks liek ti set to 1mm, i turned hsn clockwise till it stopped then turned it about 2.5 turns counterclockwise still cant start it

PM me your #, I'm sure we can get it going in no time.

EDIT
All I had to do was threaten lol, glad you got it running bud 😉

no i do not believe i put after-run oil in them...

they were never really running before storage either...
I rebuilt the .25 and was having troubles with it, got busy, and shelfed them.

I am running, mugen alum. clutch shoes. Could they be not engaging?

After hours of fussing around I cant get it to start for a few seconds but any slight throttle on the trigger it bogs and dies instantly. And it might idle for 1 minute before it dies.

i am considering buying a .28 or bigger..

*can

and what are your thoughts on putting in a new engine? what one?

Id like to run this in the sand dunes also, so the more the better right? lol

If you want to go cheap go with Axial .28RR Spec 1 or a K4.6 from HPI ..

• Axial .28RR Spec 1 -
http://myatomic.com/catalog/viewsku?sku=AXI0330&itemname=axial_28rr_spec_1_engine_green_

• HPI k4.6 -
http://myatomic.com/catalog/viewsku?sku=HPI15201&itemname=nitro_star_k4_6_engine_w_ps

..and if you want to spend a little for money go with a Picco .28

• Picco .28 -
http://myatomic.com/catalog/viewsku?sku=OFN51232&itemname=picco_28_ps_standard_plug

by the way My Atomic has FREE shipping to the lower 48's but if your in Canada it mite cost you the minimum of $10 for shipping..

when it cuts out when you give it throttle its sometimes because your exhaust has too much fuel in it not giving enough breathing space for the engine, hold your savage with the engine side down to the ground for a second then hold it so the exhaust is pointing down at a slight angle, if fuel pours out then thats the problem of it cutting out, happens to my buggy sometimes if u let it idle to long.
