Question, does putting on wider tires such as the Pro-Line Big Joe, affect the steering ?

welcome to the hpisf family my friend! glad you found us!! as to your question yes i would imagine it would affect the steering to some degree but alot are running the 40 series tires and love them! i myself have went the other way and am running a bit smaller tire then the stock ones that came on my savage x rtr i through on some dirt bonz, you might not get quite as much speed but wow is it ever torquey now, i cant keep the front down lol

Thx for the answer nitro, any ideea in how to improve steering but with the big tires ?
Thx for the welcome, glad i found this forum to.

as for the axial bead locks i had a set and liked them for awhile then grew to hate them. The bead was always coming loose. May have been the brand of tire (pro-line) may have just been the wheels them self. My advice with 40series would be buy a good metal gear hi torque steering servo and lower the gearing for more low end torque from the motor(smaller cb and bigger sg) i hope that you have better luck with the axial wheels then i did. I do have to say that they looked great.

Ups to late now, allready orderd them, can i glue the bead locks ? or get some other bead locks ?.. i really like these rims...
i also wanna use pro-line tires, i am kinda a noob, please explain what does
"maller cb and bigger sg" mean ?

Hi , cb= clutch bell , sg= spur gear ,hope that helps.
Regards,
